Function
In the test method TM001516 spring hammer test, the brush head of an electric toothbrush is repeatedly loaded 3 times a shock with an energy of 0.5-0.6 joules. The test is carried out, in particular, on brush heads in order to ensure that no consumption risk occurs. The test method complies with the external standards IEC 60335-1, Chapter 21, IEC 60068-2-75 (spring hammer test) and DIN EN 60335-2-52. In order to perform this test under reproducible conditions, the test sequence is automated. Important is the overall rigidity / stiffness of the system, in particular the holding of the spring hammer and the stop plate for the toothbrush head. Critical is also the correct alignment between the spring hammer head and the brush disc The spring hammer head must strike the center of the brush disc. For this purpose, the spring hammer must be in a rigid fixation and the brush head can be positioned.
